The trailer for the newly relocated series ofThe Great British Bake Offwent all out, featuring a cast of 355 baked characters including a choir of croissants and vomiting vol-au-vents. Behind the exuberant stop motion film was animation studio Parabella, and co-founder Mikey Please will be taking us through the “baking-of”.

Eliza Hatch’s important projectCheer Up Luvhas gained broad media attention for tackling the widespread problem of public sexual harassment in a creative way. The photographer started it in response to the prevalence of stories she heard about women being threatened and name-called in their day-to-day lives, and wanted to share these stories on a platform that would invite dialogue. She’ll be talking about how the project has grown since then.

Earlier this year graphic design studio Smörgåsbord took on the pressured task of rebranding a nation. Its newidentity for Wales, commissioned by the Welsh government, sidelined nostalgic cliches to give the country’s visual output a contemporary message, from its marque to a bespoke typeface. It was recently shortlisted for a Designs of the Year prize. The studio’s co-founder Dylan Griffith will be telling us more about the work.

In honour of our Halloween event, editor of occult, feminism and contemporary witchcraft magazineSabatElisabeth Krohn will be taking to the podium. Elisabeth works with designer Cleber Rafael de Campos on the publication, which has so far released a trilogy of issues:The Maiden,The MotherandThe Crone, exploring different aspects of the subject and its fascinating personalities. Elisabeth will be sharing a new project from the team.
