Gem Fletcher, Noah Harris, Sonya Dyakova and Weirdcore

Director and designer Noah Harris has directed captivating and inventive adverts for the likes of Google Chrome and Ford, and a music video for Julio Bashmore’sPeppermint. For his latest project for E.On, he travelled to the desert todirect 1000 solar powered toys, including toy versions of Gorillaz, in an epic feat of in-camera filmmaking. He’ll be telling us how it happened.

Graphic designer Sonya Dyakova is well renowned for her beautifully sophisticated work in books (notably at Phaidon) and magazines (notablyfrieze) and now runs a multi-disciplinary studio in London, Atelier Dyakova. Its recent design forfood photography bookFeast for the Eyeshad us all drooling here at It’s Nice That, in particular for its approach to typography and retro references, which Sonya will be explaining further.

The enigmatic designer Weirdcore has created visuals for MIA, Radiohead and Tame Impala, and since 2009 has producedlive visuals for Aphex Twin. Using live generated elements including footage from the crowd, combined with trippy and intense pop culture imagery manipulated in real time, what Weirdcore puts on the screens is both mind and retina warping. The designer will be treating us to a rare insight to his unique work.
